The Bridge Crawl
Since forming in early-2007, The Bridge Crawl hasn't stopped moving. Founding members Mike Bond (drums, percussion) and Keith Mitchell (vocals, guitars) didn't wait to complete the band's roster before playing coffeehouses and recording an EP in the first half of the year. Soon after, the group embarked on an aggressive performance schedule throughout California, including headlining the historic Whisky-A-Go-Go in West Hollywood.
The band's love of the open road carries through to its songs, which often focus on borders, motion, and distance - between places and between people. With driving grooves, a touch of twang, and influences reflecting the roots of American rock, such as folk and blues traditions, their music is equally at home in electric or "unplugged" settings.
Not content to confine themselves to their home base in the San Francisco Bay Area, the group - with newest member Andrew Balmat (guitars, vocals) - plays at every opportunity, including early-2008 shows in Southern California, Santa Cruz, and San Francisco, as well as shows in the Pacific Northwest and Las Vegas slated for later in the year.
In addition to their extensive performance schedule, the band is now in pre-production for a full-length follow up to its 2007 EP, Roaming, now available on iTunes.
